Obviously, my first stories are going to contain some slight cringe. Nothing can be perfect. But this... is probably one of the least favorite things I've ever written. For some reason, my mom wants to keep the notebook it's written in because she actually thinks its good. Luckily, I know the difference between soul hurting, and "good". I would never want this story in the world because of how bad it is. It was called "Queen Bug" or something of the sort. At the time I was obsessed with superheroes so I wanted my protagonist to be a superhero...a strange mix of every superhero known to me apparently. He was fast, he could fly, he could shrink and grow, he could slow down time. It's pretty clear I was taking some large inspiration from Marvel here... He even gained his powers by getting bitten by a bug...that's original, right? But of course, there has to be a twist and to get his powers he has to jump into a pit of acid that would have otherwise killed him if he hadn't been bitten by this superbug. Yeah makes total sense right. The thing is that I give no explanation for anything throughout the entire story. He just... saves people. The things that came out of my brain. Then again, I'm sure Mr. Craddock could say my writing now wouldn't be much better...
